Tell me a little bit about your venue!
PointBreezeway and I have been together for many years now! I’m full-time into hosting events and dreaming up ways to grow my family business through the roof. I converted my childhood home into Pittsburgh’s “Sweetheart for Gatherings” (in my humble opinion)! Once a tavern, speakeasy, tea room, and confectionary – just to name a few – PointBreezeway has been a neighborhood social hub for over 100 years. My family and I live upstairs. Talk about working from home! It is my honor to share the history, stories, and love of my home with everyone I can, and to host my community with unforgettable hospitality. Opening PointBreezeway is the best thing I have ever done.
What makes your space unique?
I can’t think of many (or any) places in the Burgh where the actual family hosts weddings in their own home! How special is that? We take such pride in old-fashioned hospitality. And our venue…well, you don’t have to do a thing! PointBreezeway is naturally charming.
We’re also quite fortunate that our home is on a commercial block, just a few steps away from Frick Park and Art Museum, as well as Clayton Mansion. You don’t just get the old-world charm of PointBreezeway…you get to take in the whole neighborhood!
