Twig & Vine Floral Design

Tell us a little bit about your business.

Twig & Vine is the business I never expected to build, yet it grew so naturally from my lifelong passion for flowers.

What began as a personal desire to always have fresh florals in my home led me to growing my own cut flowers – simply for the joy of it. Through that process, the seed was planted (quite literally and figuratively) for something more meaningful to take root.

Today, Twig & Vine is a full-service floral design studio creating thoughtful, artful arrangements for events of all sizes. We value seasonality – sourcing as many blooms as possible from our own cut flower garden and supplementing with local growers to support our community whenever possible.

Sustainability is central to our philosophy. We prioritize foam-free, eco-conscious floral mechanics whenever feasible – never as a limitation, but as an added value that enhances the integrity and beauty of our designs.

Our style is distinctly floral-forward, embracing a lush, garden-inspired aesthetic that feels effortlessly romantic. We design with an emphasis on movement, texture, and natural abundance – creating florals that feel alive, expressive, and gathered from a lovingly tended garden at its peak.

It is an incredible honor to be part of a couple’s wedding day. Designing both the florals and the wedding cake offers a rare level of cohesion and artistry, and allows couples to work with fewer vendors while achieving a thoroughly unified aesthetic.

Twig & Vine and Alex Robba Cake can work hand-in-hand to create a seamless visual story – bringing together two art forms in one intentionally crafted experience.

What makes your work unique?

My path to floral design is a bit unconventional. It began with my wedding cake business, Alex Robba Cake, where I became known for my handcrafted sugar flowers. Creating botanicals in an edible medium led me into the garden for inspiration – and offered a welcome creative contrast to days spent baking.

Growing flowers deepened my understanding of their forms, personalities, and how they truly shine in nature. I learned in reverse: by first recreating flowers out of sugar, I had to study what made each bloom unique, how it moves, and how it harmonizes with others.

This informs every part of my design process. I approach florals with intention and artistry, allowing each flower to play a meaningful role in telling a broader story. While I’m guided by an overarching vision, I never let it constrain the organic, intuitive nature of design.

What is your ideal client like?

My ideal clients are those who feel genuinely excited about flowers – whether they’ve loved them for years or are just beginning to discover how meaningful they can be. They appreciate the artistry behind floral design and trust the creative process enough to let it unfold with intention and inspiration.

They’re not simply checking a box on their wedding to-do list; they’re drawn to the idea of creating something personal, expressive, and beautiful. They enjoy collaborating, exploring ideas, and getting lost in the details as we dream up what their wedding florals can become.

Most of all, they value the feeling flowers bring – how they can transform a space, set a tone, and tell a story that feels uniquely their own.

How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?

I meet couples exactly where they are – whether they’re fluent in flower varieties or have never given a second thought to a single bloom.

I guide them through the process with curiosity and care, learning about their personalities, style, and the story they want their wedding to tell. Often, this includes foraging natural elements at the peak of their season to incorporate into their designs. If it means climbing a hillside, crossing a stream, or kneeling in the mud to find the perfect textural branch or bloom, I’m there – because those special details are always worth the effort.

Together, we craft florals that speak in the language of flowers to tell a story – their story – and create an experience that feels deeply personal and uniquely theirs.
