Tell us a little bit about your business.
Something Blue is your one-stop-shop for orchestrating a seamless wedding day with personal touches and lots of love. As a wedding planning business sparked by a love for vacation planning, I like to infuse unique details, cultural experiences, and exciting themes into every celebration. Whether you’re dreaming of a classic white wedding or something delightfully unconventional, let’s make your special day unforgettable!
What makes your work unique?
I have spent the last 12 years of my life traveling the world and experiencing cultures far and wide – there is nothing “normal” about what I bring to the table. If you want traditional, we can absolutely throw a classic, white lace and pearl ballroom wedding. But the non-traditional? That’s where I shine. Whether it’s a disco theme, we’re “icing” the groomsmen, bringing out the Pirate Parrot mid-reception, or executing the perfect surprise song performance that brings a mother-of-the-groom to tears, I’m you’re go-to-gal.
What is your ideal client like?
Authentic! I will always adore, vibe with, and respect clients that are like me – authentically themselves! I want to know YOU and know what it is that you want to highlight on your wedding day to bring out the love, relationship, and authenticity that you share with your partner. I’m here to be your right hand man, your partner in crime, the Santiago to your Captain Holt, the Assistant to your Regional Manager – in order words, I’m there to execute your vision without you having to second guess a single thing.
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?
Although my contract guarantees 2 – 3 meetings before the wedding, all of my clients are guaranteed unlimited access to me prior to their event date. I’m a firm believer in this process being collaborative. When planning my own wedding, I changed my mind at least 14 times for design/decor/direction, so I know it happens. I’m here to be your sounding board, your Pinterest board, and your directional guru to both support you and tell you when we might be getting an *little* off vision. Being along throughout the process helps couples hone in on their vision and reduce the “noise” that sometimes clouds their judgement.
