Pale Blue Thread is a custom wedding gown studio situated in a beautiful country setting. I specialize in creating bespoke gowns for soonlyweds who are looking for their one-of-a-kind dream outfit. Pale Blue Thread designs are known for their innovative silhouettes, unexpected texture combinations, and a dash of daring.

Custom accessories are available to complete your ensemble. Think pearl and rhinestone sashes, cathedral length Italian tulle veils, sophisticated birdcage veils, and warm faux fur shrugs.

Pittsburgh is such a dynamic place for a wedding – full of culture, adventure, and creativity. And Pittsburgh soonlyweds are not cookie cutter brides! They are looking to make a statement and want to wear something that reflects their own personality. There are many brides who are looking for the dream dress that they’ve imagined since they were 8 years old but can’t find it anywhere in the bridal salons. Others have searched for something bold and daring, or something to compliment their themed weddings, but can’t find that among the white lace choices. Oh, and I love those who want to wear mom’s or grandma’s vintage dress but want to update it! From delicate and flowing to something adventurous and unconventional, I create the outfits that are as individual as those who wear them.

I love to create for soonlyweds who see the world a little differently, the ones who aren’t afraid of making a statement with colors, textures, and bold styles. I’m awed by the individuals who stand out from the crowd and revel in their own uniqueness.
Do clients need an appointment?
Yes! I like to allow time to meet with you in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere to discover what your dream wedding outfit looks like. During your consultation, we will share ideas, check out fabric choices, and plan a design for your outfit. If a bespoke creation is the choice for you, we will meet again to try it on at different points of construction to ensure a perfect fit. You won’t get a more personalized experience anywhere else.
