Tell us a little bit about your business.
My journey in photography has been over a decade long now, initially focused on wedding photography and senior portraits. In 2019, I ventured into the world of boudoir photography as Oakwood Boudoir and instantly fell in love with the entire process. I renovated a studio in downtown Franklin, PA in 2022, and we’re now currently in the exciting stages of constructing a new studio designed exclusively with boudoir in mind, set to open spring 2024.
What makes your work unique?
What sets my work apart is the all-inclusive boudoir photography experience I offer. It goes beyond just a photo session; all boudoir sessions include on-site professional hair and makeup, access to a client wardrobe with over 200 sets of lingerie ranging from size XS – 4X (that’s regularly updated with new pieces!), full posing guidance throughout the session, and a same-day photo reveal so you get to see your photos shortly after the session is over. My style of boudoir is romantic, soft, and sometimes a bit moody.
What is your ideal client like?
My ideal client is one who’s ready to have a blast, break out of their comfort zone, and allow their inner beauty to radiate through to the final images. Boudoir sessions are a partnership built on trust, creativity, and, of course, lots of fun!
What is your approach to photography?
When it comes to boudoir photography, my biggest priority is to create an atmosphere where clients feel completely at ease, exude confidence, and recognize their beauty. I wholeheartedly believe that every client is uniquely perfect in their imperfections, and my aim is to help clients embrace and celebrate their true selves. From providing hair and makeup services to the final editing process, my intention is never to alter someone into something they’re not, but rather to reveal and accentuate their best and most genuine self, resulting in a gallery of images that radiate their authentic beauty and confidence.
