Hello! I’m Madeline, owner and lead planner/designer of Madeline Kelly Events. My company is a Pittsburgh, PA-based wedding and event planning and production company, rooted in a passion for event logistics, people, and creative expression! My mission is to create beautiful and personalized events for all clients within all scopes of budget.
I began my career in event planning while working in the luxury hospitality industry for over 10 years. I am proud of my hotel heritage because I learned that a truly flawless event is dependent on how all contributors and creatives work cohesively to bring out one another’s best and finest work. Weddings are one hundred percent a production – that is why I offer multiple packages to assist clients and their families with their unique planning journey.
What makes your work unique?
I take my time when creating design and experience plans for my partial and full-scale planning clients. I begin the process by assessing the resources available to them, learning about their individual preferences regarding design and flow of events, and crafting a plan full of smart and impactful choices for them to consider.
I feel very strongly about working with creatives who are here to bring their couples’ event visions to life and not theirs. I strive to find ways to delight my couples with unique and thoughtful touches they may have never considered without my help. The peak of perfection is the look of sheer awe when my couples see what our hard work has physically manifested the day of their event. If I could bottle up that feeling and get a dose of that every day, I would!
What is your ideal client like?
I love working with out-of-state couples and families! I find my remote planning clients are so receptive to my recommendations and greatly appreciate me representing them during important planning milestones when they are not physically able to be present. Who says long distance relationships are hard?
It continues to amaze me how fortunate I have been to have had the chance to work with so many wonderful clients inside and out. Over the past few years of being in business, I have certainly identified a trend that streams throughout all of my clients. My ideal clients value authenticity, wish to celebrate their love creatively, and above all else, they are grateful for everyone who plays a role in preparing for their special day.
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?
Shortly after the time of booking, I schedule a deep dive consultation with my couples to gauge where they are in the planning process. This is how I decide what areas of planning need to take priority. I believe a consultative approach to planning is how my clients get the best value.
What can you expect when working with me?
- Vendor and Creative Matchmaker: This is a role I hold near and dear to my heart! I believe in connecting clients with vendors who can enhance their vision and stay within the budget parameters we have set. To me, there is nothing better than building your wedding day dream team.
- Delightful Design: I pay attention to the smallest of details. Sometimes it’s the simplest touch to an ordinary event element that completely captures my clients’ hearts. I love these moments.
- Logistics Nerd: Due to my background in large scale event planning and productions, I know that there is a science to producing a beautiful and functional event. I can guide you away from common event mishaps, saving you time and stress.
