Tell us a little bit about your business.
Hi, I’m Loren of Loren DeMarco Photography! My love for taking photos started young and I developed a documentary approach early. I would walk around downtown Pittsburgh with a Canon FTB, photographing people and where the light fell in interesting ways.
Since those early years, I’ve photographed just about everything, from big corporate projects to intimate love stories. My decade+ of experience in Pittsburgh and beyond has shown me that learning your stories and documenting them in a real way is where my heart is.
What makes your work unique?
My work is a mixture of joyful and quiet moments, editorial and raw images, and true to life colors mixed with 35mm film. It’s a blend that feels personal and cinematic.
What is your ideal client like?
I love working with couples who are welcoming, intentional, and confident in their style. The couples I connect with most are those who bring warmth and openness into every interaction. They’re the kind of people who make you feel like part of the celebration from the start. They make thoughtful choices that are rooted in who they are. That kind of energy leads to meaningful images that feel honest, personal, and timeless.
What is your approach to photography?
Think of me as your story narrator, carer, and chill-observer.
Story narrator because I’m there to tell your love story in a real and beautiful way. Carer because I want you to feel taken care of throughout the entire photo experience. I love that I can bring ease and comfort to a day that’s packed with emotion and excitement. Chill-observer because I guide a lot during parts of the day, but I also love to step back. Then, I can capture the spontaneous moments, too.
