Tell me a little bit about your business!
Loree Mayer Design is a full service design studio. I primarily focus on stationery and branding for events and small businesses. Branding for a wedding includes everything from the monogram to the invitation and day of signage and stationery.
A typical wedding package might consist of: logo/monogram, save the date, invitation, rehearsal dinner invitation, programs, escort cards, menus, table numbers, welcome sign, and seating display. It really is endless. One trend that I’ve really been busy with (and am loving) is custom backdrops for the ceremony and reception.
What makes your work unique?
I have a passion for what I do and it shines through in my work. Having a diverse background gives me the ability to look at events in a whole new way. My experience in retail signage applies to backdrops and seating displays at a wedding. My love of hand lettering helps me create a one of a kind wedding logo. Thinking out of the box gives each couple a unique brand.
What is your ideal client like?
The ideal couple comes to me with:
- Ideas, images or inspiration for their upcoming wedding. A mood or Pinterest board really helps me get to know what the couple’s style is and what mood they are looking to create.
- A budget in mind. My design packages vary greatly and are completely custom. Knowing a budget helps me talk through what design and print options we can use within their budget range.
- Enough time. Typically, 4 – 8 weeks for the entire process from monogram to invitations ready to mail. Timelines can really vary depending on the printing process we are using. I like to make sure we have enough time to get everything PERFECT.
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding paper dreams to life?
I like to make the process fun and stress-free. We work as a team. Clients often report back to me that the most overwhelming part is just how many options there are for creating their one of kind design. We’ll talk/exchange emails/meet in person (whatever works best for each couple) and I’ll show my work. We’ll then look at likes and dislikes and I’ll ask questions to really get to what the couple wants out of their wedding package. From there, I work up an estimate. Once we get that nailed down, a 50% deposit is due and the design process starts!
