Kelli Burns Entertainment specializes in personalized wedding entertainment, with five stellar DJs, excellent planning support, dance floor lighting, special effects lighting, photo booths, live musicians, dance instruction and a host of other services. We know how to cater to a client. When we find out their needs, we execute them. You will find that we do more than just play music. We coordinate, direct, and finish all of the events at a wedding ceremony and reception.

Kelli Burns Entertainment is set apart by a talented DJ staff that make great event hosts and that offer top-notch customer service. By working hand-in-hand with the client, the DJs at Kelli Burns Entertainment produce a professional, fun, and unforgettable event experience for all guests. We go above and beyond anything that they could have imagined. We spend time getting to know our clients, meeting with them, and offering suggestions. We take the time to get to know each of our couples and work with them to build the perfect entertainment for them and their guests.
What is your ideal client like?
When you meet with KBE, we ask for three words you would use to describe your ideal wedding reception. Each client is different and is looking for something distinct for their wedding entertainment. If we had to pick an ideal client, our three words for you would be “creative, unique, fun.”
We love working with our clients to plan everything about their reception. A creative client has a vision for their special day and collaborates with us to bring it to life. Even if they are not creative and have no idea what they want, we will offer suggestions and ideas that they may want to incorporate. We’ve done New Orleans Second Lines, special recorded messages for parents, and songs celebrating heritage. A couple who wants their guests to be interactive, who wants to incorporate special elements, and who wants their guests to leave with great memories is our ideal client.
How do you get to know your client’s taste in music?
We ask how involved they would like to be in the music programming. Some clients give us lists and others just give us genres, artists, and songs they like, and we take it from there. We are open to taking requests from their guests if the client would like us to, as well.
How do you motivate guests to get on the dance floor and bust some moves?
Open bar! Just kidding. Well, let’s think about it…it’s usually a weekend night, everyone is all dressed up, and is excited to celebrate with them. We facilitate fun by connecting the music to all of their family and friends. Songs that come from the past or memorable songs from school or family gatherings, for instance, bring people to the dance floor.
How would you describe your emcee style?
Actually, we call ourselves “hosts” instead of emcees. To me, that word is dated and cheesy. A host at an event is the one who makes sure that the events and transitions are smooth and entertaining. Think about Ryan Seacrest on American Idol. He is the one who is connecting the artists to the audience and the judges. Our role as a host is to connect both families and friends, make sure everyone feels welcomed, and fulfill everyone’s needs.
