Tell us a little bit about your business.
I specialize in making women feel sexy, confident, and like they can do anything! I have been shooting boudoir for nine years and in that time I feel like I am perfecting the overall experience you get with Katie Lynn Boudoir. It’s not just a photoshoot. Boudoir is a very personal type of photography and I don’t take it lightly that women trust me with it. I really want you to walk out of my studio feeling like something in you has changed a little.
My studio is currently a big old house we have remodeled. It has two bedroom sets, a vintage shower set, and a lot of other amazing spots for photos. I have a client closet filled with lingerie and accessories that is available for you to use. Before your shoot, you receive two guides from me. One is a wardrobe guide to help plan outfits and start shopping my favorite inclusive companies. The second one is info to help ease your nerves before the shoot. I offer payment plans on all of my products and collections because I want to make it easy for you to pay for an experience like this.
If you book us for wedding photography or videography, your $500 session fee is waived.
What makes your work unique?
What I offer is a full day experience that is all about you. This includes hair and makeup, photoshoot, and even same day editing and viewing of your images. Same day editing is not something you typically see in photography but I have mastered getting it right in camera so the retouching process is very minimal but does include removing blemishes and a light airbrush.
What is your ideal client like?
Someone that trusts me. With almost 10 years of experience with women, I know there are some common concerns when we are getting our photos taken. I am always looking for the best angles and lighting the entire time.
What is your approach to photography?
Everyone that walks into my studio is nervous. That’s completely normal. So I like to start by showing you around the studio, looking at the outfits you brought, and getting your hair and makeup professionally done. Once it’s time to start shooting, I put on a sexy playlist and start posing you in a series of safe and easy poses that always look fabulous! I pose with you and help with fixing straps and hair throughout the shoot as well. Once we get through a few poses, I start to show you the unedited photos on the back of my camera. This is when I really see the nerves fade away. You get to see yourself in this new light. From there we get to change outfits and sets multiple times through a shoot and by the end, you are completely relaxed and feeling yourself. It doesn’t end there. Once we wrap up, you step out for lunch and I sit down to edit your amazing photos. We agree on a time for you to come back and that is when I have a slideshow of all your final images. It is the best feeling ever seeing clients’ reactions to photos and helping them pick out their favorite ones!
