John Parker Bands – the very best live Pittsburgh wedding bands for over 20 years. From and located IN Pittsburgh, our bands are super fun, classy, and tastefully interactive with a fresh vibe, HUGE music variety, and great, high energy presence.

You can choose from three set and rehearsed bands. Not like so many companies that send multiple groups with the same band name for the same date – from whatever musicians and singers are available. With us, you see, hear, and KNOW what you are going to get!

We’ve performed over 1000 weddings in the very best Pittsburgh venues. From hotels and country clubs, to outdoor tented weddings and barns, we always provide the right sized setup and sound system to make the band fit perfectly, and the music and toasts full and rich-sounding – but NOT too loud!

All with a music variety that keeps everyone dancing non-stop all night! This includes your requests from your private client area and live requests from your guests at your wedding!

We make YOUR wedding the way YOU want it at a reasonable range of rates for band sizes from 5-piece to 12-piece. And we guarantee your wedding will be super fun and awesome!

What makes your work unique?

You deal with ONE person throughout the whole process – John Parker. Not some random “producer”, “agent” or “consultant” you may not find out about until after you book. JP’s a friendly and dedicated expert who’s performed for over 1000 weddings, knows your venue, and for whom your wedding is the ONLY thing in the world that matters that day.

No clones. You hear one of our bands on the website? That’s THE band. Once our three bands are booked on your date, they’re unavailable. We don’t “make” another using whatever musicians and the same band name. So you KNOW what you’ll get is going to sound like.

You dance non-stop; not on and off with breaks every hour. Your special dances are learned and performed by the band if you want, and the music we play is what you and your guests love.

Our approach is to keep EVERYONE dancing – young and old – all night…not transition to one genre of music later that leaves you with 15 people at the end of the night. To us, that’s not an ideal wedding. In the final song of your wedding with us, everyone will be still there – all still dancing! That’s our vision of a great wedding. What is your ideal client like?

Our clients are smart and fun people. They truly care about their guests, as in they envision EVERYONE is being entertained, dancing, and having fun at their reception – from start to finish.

Our clients don’t want music with inappropriate lyrics or harsh music that will offend, yet they want newer music perfectly mixed in with the fun classics. They appreciate the professional, prompt, and highly personal service they get from John, who is always directly involved in their wedding and who helps ensure their party is perfect.

How do you get to know a couple’s taste in music?

We ASK! We inquire about their general tastes in music and also about specific songs they want – and don’t. Our clients all have a private login for their music requests, schedule, and more.

Lastly, we happily take requests that day. We don’t arrive at a wedding with a mapped out “set list”. We ADAPT – instantly – to keep weddings going with NO lulls, no matter what happens.

How do you motivate guests to get on the dance floor?

We relentlessly and awesomely play a never-ending perfect mix of FUN music and tastefully encourage people until everyone submits to dancing! We offer an inviting and engaging vibe that makes EVERYONE feel comfortable and DANCE. Our friendly, engaging style gets them on the dance floor and makes people smile. People dance when there’s good, fun music that they all – together – relate to and that makes them feel comfortable!
