JAB Jewelry Works is a family-owned business that began in 1989. Throughout the last 3 decades, we have grown into one of Pittsburgh’s most reputable jewelers. We got our start as a trade shop, designing, making, and repairing jewelry for other local jewelers before eventually opening our doors to the public. Today, our location on McMurray Road in Bethel Park houses our retail showroom and expansive jewelry workshop together under one roof.
At JAB Jewelry Works, we’re known for our custom design process. Each step – from the first sketch, to the CAD design, to the casting and finishing – is completed on-site by our large team of talented designers and jewelers. We work with you openly through ideas, choices, and revisions, and we never move forward without approval. You can even take a tour behind the scenes to see where all the work happens. Transparency is the basis of our operation and allows us to guarantee satisfaction with our custom pieces.
With over 1,000 five-star reviews on Google, we are proud of the reputation we’ve built and stand behind everything we do. We are members of the American Gem Society (AGS) and are an Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) Master Jeweler. We host several events throughout the year that are perfect for brides-to-be, couples, gift shoppers, and families, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for special announcements. What is your ideal client like?
Our ideal client cares about the details. They see their wedding jewelry as a lasting token of their love and commitment, and because of this, they value heirloom-quality craftsmanship. This person may have one very specific idea they want to bring to life, a whole Pinterest board of inspiration, or no clue where to start. Many of our clients want to reimagine their inherited family jewelry. Others have browsed through jewelry stores but just haven’t quite found what they’re looking for. They may be intimidated by the thought of custom design, not sure what is possible, and in search of friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy experts to guide them without adding pressure to their decisions. Most importantly, they want to be involved in the process and completely in love with the final result. They are ultimately looking for a jeweler relationship to carry beyond their wedding day – one they can trust for anniversaries, special gifts, and family milestones for years to come.
What types and styles of rings and jewelry do you carry?
From vintage-inspired styles to contemporary designs, we have a wide selection of rings and fine jewelry available to try on in our showroom. We curate our cases with an ever-changing collection featuring natural diamond, lab diamond, and colored gemstone pieces to suit many tastes. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, our state-of-the-art workshop is equipped to create any design you can imagine – classic, alternative, or somewhere in between – from start to finish right here in-house.
Do you offer additional services such as custom design, engraving, resizing, and appraisal?
Custom design is our specialty and what we are known for. As a full-service jewelry shop, we offer engraving and appraisal, as well as all type of repairs including resizing. We also do permanent jewelry for couples and groups, and we carry a wide selection of chains and charms.
Do couples need an appointment?
No appointment is needed to come into our store, take a look at our case collections, and chat with our team. For custom engagement and wedding bands, we do request that you book a design consultation. All consults are free of charge.
