Tell us a little bit about your business.
Henne Jewelers has been in business for over 130 years, serving the Pittsburgh region and beyond. We are family owned and operated, currently in our fourth-generation with John Henne. Here is a great timeline of our business’s history.
At Henne, we sell engagement rings for every budget and style, including custom designs, and wedding bands, along with luxury watches, designer jewelry, and gifts for all your special moments. We became an Official Rolex Jeweler in 1999 and carry a substantial collection of Rolex timepieces.
What makes your work unique?
We got our start in Pittsburgh before the Incline existed, and we’ve never left! But what sets Henne apart is our friendly team whose top priority has always been our customers. We are a family and treat everyone with love, kindness, and top customer service, reflected in our nearly 400 Google Reviews and multi-generational customer families.
We also have a repair shop on-site that consists of three artisan jewelers and a Rolex-authorized watch repair studio. So not only do we sell and create beautiful jewelry, but we can also keep them in tip-top shape for you throughout your lifetime!
What is your ideal client like?
All are welcome and we have something for everyone no matter your style, budget, or what you’re looking to celebrate. We love our Henne Couples (engagement/wedding clients) who typically fall between mid-20s to mid-30s and are thriving young professionals. They tend to enjoy the intimate experience we give them throughout the ring buying process, and also the ways we celebrate with them by featuring them on digital billboards, on the wall in our store, and on social media, just to name a few.
We also have an older population of clients who love our estate selections and a male professional client – typically within the 35 – 55 age range – who seeks us out for our luxury watch selection.
What types and styles of rings and jewelry do you carry?
We have something for everyone! We have trendy, simple diamond fashion pieces, to vintage 150-year old brooches. We carry a selection of Henne Jewelers exclusive designers whose creations you won’t find anywhere else! We also have partnered with many brand name designers to offer our customers the latest and most beautiful jewelry styles.
For those who want something truly unique, we can do virtually any custom design, from updating heirloom pieces to using your grandmother’s diamond in an engagement ring, to creating a necklace you pinned on Pinterest. And if you’re looking for a pop of color, we are proud to offer top quality gemstones that are ethically sourced by our in-house gemologist.
Do you offer additional services, such as custom design, engraving, resizing, or appraisal?
Absolutely! We have three jewelers on-site who have more than 100 years of combined experience, as well as two watchmakers who have a 50-year combined legacy of working within their field! They are artisans and are at the very top in their unique skill levels, and our watch repair studio is authorized by Rolex and Cartier. We have the ability to create and customize literally anything!
We also have one estate buyer and two certified appraisers on-site who bring a wealth of knowledge to our store by being able to correctly assess the value of any piece brought to us for evaluation. We offer competitive pricing on all offers if the person would like to sell us their piece, or we can provide documentation for insurance companies for updated coverage as well!
Do couples need an appointment?
We have numerous ways we can serve our customers. We do encourage appointments so we can provide you with the best and most thorough information available – after all, this is time that should be devoted to you and making sure you get exactly what you are looking for. But if you want to stop in and browse, walk-ins are always welcome.
Our friendly, experienced, and accredited staff has the ability to meet with any couple virtually through video calls, and we also provide phone consultations. We’ve walked customers through the ring buying process completely virtually, while others prefer to do one virtual appointment and then come in once they narrow their choices (and of course in-store appointments from start to finish are great as well).
