Tell us a little bit about your business.
My introduction to floral design came after flowering my own wedding in 2016. Friends and family gathered around buckets of local flowers, and we pulled together arrangements to adorn the venue; it was such a meaningful experience, and was a beautiful reflection of who we were in that moment. Field and Hand was born a few years later in 2019, and my goal is to maintain that same, intimate sentiment through the florals I provide for my clients on their own wedding days.
Your wedding day is all about you and your partner, and we’re here to encourage you to embrace that, especially through your wedding flowers. We want you to dream big, and let us figure out all the flowery details that bring those dreams to life.
What makes your work unique?
Field and Hand florals are designed uniquely for the people and events they are intended for. We pull inspiration not only from what types of flowers the couple is drawn towards, but from who they are as people, and as a couple. We want our couples’ florals to tell their story in a way that provides comfort and familiarity for their guests as they enter into that space. Our designs are also created to respect the materials used, never forcing a flower into a space or shape it does not naturally want to be in, to ensure each piece is working effortlessly as a part of the bigger picture.
We love working with fresh and/or dried flowers, and are always happy to answer any questions you might have about incorporating either into your designs.
What is your ideal client like?
The ideal Field and Hand client is confident in who they are, and they want to create an experience for their friends and family that is truly reflective of their unique story. This person wants to create a day that is personal and meaningful to them, and they aren’t content with settling for a duplicate version of what they’ve seen on Pinterest. Finally, our ideal clients trust in our expertise, and are excited to hear new ideas and collaborate on concepts that will result in floral elements that are perfectly designed just for them.
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?
During our initial consultation, we work to gain an understanding of how the florals might work together with the rest of the wedding design to really tell our couples’ stories. Many of our clients come to us with inspiration from weddings they’ve come across, and we work to ensure that the final product is tailored to them, and not just a carbon copy of something everyone has seen before. We work with all sorts of textures, unexpected color palettes, and fresh designs to ensure no two weddings are ever the same.
