Tell me a little bit about your business!
Exhale Events is a boutique event design and coordination company specializing in weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events. I’ve wanted to be a wedding planner as long as I can remember. In fact, a recent client from high school reminded me that I told her I’d plan her wedding. Here we are 10 years later!
It is a honor to work my clients, to understand their vision and aesthetic for their wedding day, and to work to build out that vision into reality during the planning process. Whether it’s full service clients or day of, I enjoy getting to know the couple’s love story and help them with the beginning of the next chapter!
What makes your work unique?
The little things often times have the biggest impact. So we don’t just focus on big picture items, but the little moments and details as well. I take a very refined approach to design work, and love to mix in modern elements with traditional flair. It is my goal that clients look back on their wedding photos in 20 years and still love what they’ve worked to create.
What is your ideal client like?
My client is someone who wants to come together with us as a team to execute their event. I’ve discovered that the more our client is able to focus on collaboration than directing, the more successful the event tends to be. Often times our work takes a refined and simplistic approach, but we love clients that are also not afraid to play with color and texture in their wedding day!
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?
It’s simple – I try to understand what our couple is looking for and then build the day around that. It’s important for me to understand what elements the couple loves – perhaps they’re floral people, or they want an awesome band. Whatever it is, that helps me build out a design that also matches the couple’s proposed budget. Logistically, I help them understand the timeline and make sure that we are keeping them on task, all while making the wedding planning process fun. It’s a highly emotional time for a couple and their family, both personally and financially, and I want to ensure that by the time everyone is down the aisle and saying “I do” that we’ve delivered the experience that they had imagined it to be. Every celebration is different; every couple is different. So for me, it’s important to capture that during their wedding day.
