Our signature packages incorporate marriage preparation resources into the planning process, because we care about the relationship you’re building, not just the party you’re throwing.
Day One is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Rachel brings the heart, vision, and custom systems, while Jack brings the strategy, banter, and near-magical spreadsheet formulas. Together, we guide you through a planning process that’s organized without being rigid, creative without being chaotic, and supportive without hovering.

What makes your work unique?
We’re partners in business, and in life! The concept for Day One Wedding Co. was inspired by our real journey, and designed to help other couples tell their story. Our process includes thoughtful discussion prompts and values-based decision making, so every choice reflects who you are together. When we share about who we are and what we do, it’s always, “Wow, what a brilliant idea. I’ve literally never heard of anyone doing it like that” and never, “Oh, that reminds me of ___.” No one does it like us.
What is your ideal client like?
Open to embracing the Day One method, our ideal couple is here for a good time and a long time. They want a wedding that feels authentically meaningful and fun. They show up as a team and find their balance between form and function, intentionality and levity, transparency and trust. They also won’t mind when our cats inevitably crash our virtual meetings.
How do you work with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life?
We’re going to work backwards! We start by getting to know your story – what matters to you, how you make decisions, and what you want your day to feel like. From there, we guide you through a connection-driven planning experience. It’s a true collaboration. We do our thing so that you can do yours.
Are you a to-do list person? We got you. More of a visual thinker? You’ll love our planning portal. Hate making phone calls? Great, Jack loves talking to anyone; he will happily call them.
