Tell us a little bit about your business.

I’ve been filming and photographing weddings in Pittsburgh as Christina Montemurro Photography & Video since 2009. I love documenting the people, places, and moments that make weddings so memorable and fun. I wanted to offer something different than the old-fashioned wedding video that was so long and boring that no one ever wanted to watch it.

What makes your work unique?

Video captures the heart and soul of a wedding day – not just what it looked like, but what it felt like. My wedding videos are crafted around emotion. They’re not just pretty shots in super slow motion set to music, but they tell the story of your day in a way that feels real and true. I’ve been told so many times, “I cried watching the videos on your website and I don’t even know these people!”

I create films that have an organic flow, focusing on emotion and story. You can’t get great video unless you’re having a great time! I aim to find the balance between creating beautiful memories and making sure you maximize your time with your family and friends – the people who matter most!

What is your ideal client like?

My ideal clients are planning a meaningful wedding, not just a pretty one. My couples are usually hard-working and career-oriented, but enjoy relaxing together after a busy week, probably with their dog. They just might have a thorough spreadsheet full of wedding details, and agree that having a thorough, thought out plan in place is the best way to enjoy the day. And they love Pittsburgh as much as I do!

I’m up for weddings in just about any time or place, but I’m partial to city weddings, and I love fall and winter. And I’m open to ALL couples, regardless of gender.

What is your approach to videography?

While photography documents the entire day, I believe video serves a different purpose to make you feel. With video, I focus on capturing the main events of the day, but also the little moments and expressions that reflect personalities. I connect these moments and weave them into an emotionally satisfying video that tells your story.

Do you offer drone video coverage?

I don’t have a drone, but third party drone footage can be incorporated into a wedding film.

You MUST hire a videographer, and it should be Christina! You will be SO glad she was there to capture your wedding. Her work is fabulous! Our video brought back all the emotions of our day and I love that we will have this to watch for years to come. Not only is the footage amazing, but her editing is so well done. She managed to pull every special moment together in what looks like an effortless way. She was incredibly easy to work with and was great to hang out with all day too! I cannot recommend her enough!
