Tell us a little bit about your business.

I started Aycho Melange in 2019 after a desire to be able to provide a meaningful, elegant, and personal contribution to friends’ weddings turned into a city-wide business under my nose. Since then, we have shared our passion for sweet moments and French macarons with our couples and countless guests and loved ones through our various wedding and shower options – macaron towers, favor packages, wedding party proposal sets, and of course, as a beautiful addition to the Pittsburgh cookie table.

We care deeply about our clients’ happiness and respect the extent that every wedding partner impacts their most special day. We strive to make them feel like a close friend from our first consultation. Because of this intentional approach, we have had the honor, on multiple occasions, of our couples coming back to us to place order for anniversaries and baby showers, which is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.

What makes your work unique?

Macarons themselves are unique and elusive. Many bakers choose not to offer them because of their tedious process and difficulty. Aycho Melange strives to not only offer high quality macarons, but to also offer them in exciting and unexpected flavors and designs. We work with our couples to learn their vision, large or small, and deliver on every last fine detail. From matching wedding colors to adding monograms to developing a new flavor based on the couple’s favorite cocktail, we are here for all of it!

What is your ideal client like?

Our ideal client has an appreciation for detail and wants their Pittsburgh cookie table to speak for itself! They want even the small details to be memorable and they have developed a vision for their wedding they get excited talking about. Whether they want to offer a gluten-free option for their guests, or change things up and show off a stunning tower of macarons in lieu of cake, they put an emphasis on quality and understand the importance of investing in wedding desserts.

How do you work with couples to bring their dessert dreams to life?

During the initial consultation (which is typically a phone call), we will explore our clients’ ideas (and help them flesh out exactly what they want if they need help deciding). We like to get to know our clients and offer suggestions on quantity, flavor, and presentation based on the overall style of their event and purpose of the macarons. We offer add-on services such as tower rentals, delivery and set up, pre-packaging and labelling to ensure our clients get everything they need.
