Tell me a little bit about your business!
I’m Angie of Angie Candell Photography and I’ve been doing weddings since 2008. I specialize in elopements, bridal fashion, and wedding photography.
What makes your work unique?
I don’t just “take photos” – I “make photos” with my clients. I love creating one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork for my couples – not just snapshots that will be left on a USB in a drawer, but pieces that will adorn your walls and become family heirlooms. I also create “fairytale composites” for my couples. Picture yourself in your wedding attire, in the most dreamy, fairytale setting that you can think of, and I can create that piece of art for you.
What is your ideal client like?
My ideal client loves traveling – whether spending time hiking in the great outdoors, flying to a different country on vacation, or exploring their own city. They also enjoy going to the theatre (think Broadway, not a movie theatre), going to art museums, checking out the local bookstores and antique stores, or just sitting in a local cafe.
What is your approach to photography?
My style isn’t necessarily “light and airy” or “dark and moody,” but instead, is vibrant, ethereal, and fairytale-like. What does that mean for you? Well, it means that my editing style is a bit more chameleon-like. I don’t really believe that “One Size Fits All” when it comes to your wedding or elopement photos.
