Tell us a little bit about your business.
All Heart is an extension of everything I value and love. I’m Dana and I’ve been documenting what it means to be loved for over 10 years. Photography has gifted me the incredible privilege of fast-passing myself into one of the most intimate, heartfelt, joyful days there is. My intent has always been to ensure photography doesn’t hinder one’s ability to be present in their own experience.
What makes your work unique?
I’ve always been inspired by documentary images, a style that is meant to provide an accurate representation of its subject. I’ve worked diligently to develop my own artful interpretation of that style, approaching each wedding day with curiosity, eyes peeled for good light, and anticipating the magic of the in-between moments. I shoot with intention to showcase your love and joy, rather than manufacture it.
What is your ideal client like?
My ideal client feels an instant connection, nostalgia, and excitement when they see my work. They are planning a beautiful, thoughtful day to not only honor themselves and their love, but to celebrate the impact of their most beloved community. They cherish those relationships and prioritize being present with those loved ones on their wedding day.
What is your approach to photography?
Before the wedding, I work closely with my couples to discuss how they’d like to experience the day and we create a timeline that honors that. Along the way, those conversations give me insight into who they are as a couple and a clear picture of who will be surrounding them that day. The more I can understand not only their romantic relationship, but the connection between friends and family, the better. On the wedding day, we let it fly! The plan has been made that allows for genuine emotions and interactions to happen and I’m the happiest fly on the wall witnessing it all.
