Here at Bramblewood, we believe there is no better accompaniment to love and celebration than the beauty of nature.  As Pittsburgh’s premier farm-to-table wedding venue, our green hills bursting with sun-kissed wildflowers, fields of vine-ripened tomatoes, straight and narrow rows of sweet corn, hilltop apple orchard, and buzzing hives of honey bees off in the distance will flavor every part of your wedding day.

The centerpiece of our venue is a stunning, expansive, open-span barn with a cathedral arched wooden interior.  Think a jaw-dropping 30-foot ceiling combined with amazing architectural intrigue and accented with thousands of the softest, romantic twinkle lights!  And the magic doesn’t stop there – our ceremony site is genuinely unique with a living aisle of trees, white church pew seating, and a glistening blue lake!

Located just 40 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and 20 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport, Bramblewood offers convenience and accessibility in a private and secluded setting!

Bramblewood has had the honor of hosting weddings for couples in love and their families and friends since 2014!  As a family business, clients work directly with the Simmons Family to plan and create the wedding of their dreams.

What makes your work unique?

Our one and only goal is for our clients and their guests to walk away 110% satisfied with the entire Bramblewood experience.  We view anything less than that as unacceptable.  In order to create the optimum wedding experience for our couples, the Simmons Family works directly with the soon-to-be married couple throughout the process – from the initial tour and planning sessions to day-of event execution.  Since our clients always work directly with us (the business owners), they receive the unmatched personalized service, attention to detail, and professionalism that only a small family business can offer!

Organization and flow on wedding day are seamless here at Bramblewood.  Many venues provide a “day of event coordinator” to make sure things run smoothly.  We feel that in order to pull off a truly flawless wedding affair, many more hands are needed!  Our Bramblewood wedding day team is comprised of two day of event coordinators, the venue owners/managers, a greeter, a vendor coordinator, ceremony assistant, bride’s concierge, 5 – 7 parking attendants, and many more in addition to the full catering and bartending staff and other outside vendors.  We handle set up, clean up, timeline coordination and all the details so that our clients have a totally stress free day!

Many local barn and farm venues consist of a reception space and adjacent ceremony site on a small plot of land (usually 5 – 10 acres) with close neighboring businesses and homes. That is not the case here!  Upon arrival at Bramblewood, guests immediately feel the fresh warm embrace of over 150 acres welcoming them to the tranquility and serenity of nature. We are committed to providing our guests with the rich and all encompassing atmosphere that such an expansive and private setting has to offer.  From mouth watering farm-to-table menus prepared with our fresh home-grown fruits and vegetables to spectacular floral décor crafted from the bounties of our flower fields to sweet wedding favors sourced straight from the farm (jars of honey, baskets of fresh blueberries, or small specialty pumpkins) the experience is pure and elegant!

What is your ideal client like?

One of our favorite parts of this job is that we get to work with so many DIFFERENT and UNIQUE clients!  It constantly amazes us that so many couples who are diverse in so many ways choose to celebrate the biggest day of their lives at Bramblewood.  Whether they want modern, chic, rustic, boho, elegant, or casual, we are a blank canvas for the wedding of their dreams!  Our clients can be outgoing and adventurous or a bit more traditional, big budget planners, savvy DIYers and everything in between.  Bramblewood’s flexibility to adapt to such a wide range of styles, personalities, and budgets makes it the ideal choice for so many wonderful couples that we are honored to work with!

What is your venue's best feature?

Bramblewood’s best feature is that we provide our clients and guests with one of the greatest “full package” experiences that Pittsburgh’s wedding industry has to offer.  It’s not just our spectacular setting, convenient location, ability to accommodate large guest counts, breathtaking barn reception space or our unrivaled farm-to-table features that make Bramblewood so wonderful.  It’s so much more – our constant professionalism, flawless day of event execution, exclusive decor package, marvelous team of partner vendors, and most importantly our commitment to client satisfaction.  And we don’t think you should just take our word for it – we encourage all prospective couples to do some research and take a look at Bramblewood’s online reviews.  The best predictor of your experience at a venue (or with any vendor) is past client reviews!

What is the maximum capacity?

We can accommodate up to 300 guests for a lakeside ceremony followed by dinner and reception in our expansive and breathtaking reception space!  Our barn is large enough that 300 guests can enjoy the evening in one large and continuous space (guests are not split between indoor and outdoor seating or main floor and loft overflow!)  Since our space is so versatile, the venue also creates the perfect intimate and romantic atmosphere for a much smaller wedding affair!

Can a ceremony be held at your venue?

Yes Yes Yes!  Our one-of-a-kind ceremony space includes a living aisle way of trees on the approach, white wood church pew seating, an antique set of doors, and a sparkling lake in the most secluded of settings!

Do you have a list of preferred vendors or are couples free to hire anyone?

We have two phenomenal exclusive caterers, one exclusive bartending company, and one rental company for our clients to choose from!  Couples are free to hire any DJ, band, photographer, videographer, baker, etc. of their choosing!

What is the parking situation like?

We have plenty of on-site parking and an experienced team of parking attendants to ensure easy and seamless parking.  We also have a golf cart shuttle to assist any non-ambulatory guests in getting around the property.

Can clients bring in their own alcohol?

Yes!  Clients save big time by bringing in their own alcohol for our exclusive bartending company to serve!
