Blending her hand-lettering and design skills with a love of celebrating people, Oh Joyful Day makes wedding day paper a breeze. Victoria's whimsical and fun approach lends itself to modern couples who want a happy, lively wedding and who aren't afraid to try new things. While she loves bright colors, unique fonts, and unexpected combinations, one of Victoria's best qualities is her versatility. Depending on how she uses it, Victoria's unique writing and eye for design has the ability to be ornate and vintage, contemporary and youthful, or classic and sophisticated. This adaptability is what makes her work such a hit among couples and weddings of varying styles. Whether you choose one of her semi-custom templates or opt for totally brand new work that is created just for you, one thing is certain – Victoria puts the JOY back into wedding stationery.

Tell me a little bit about your business!
Oh Joyful Day was born after my own wedding in June of 2015 when I realized my love for creating and celebrating people could work together to make my dream job. I started off doing hand lettering and signage, but eventually taught myself how to digitize my watercolors to create paper goods as well!
What makes your work unique? Why should brides and grooms hire you?
While I was planning my own wedding, there weren't many days that I felt stressed. I loved everything about the planning process and just tried to focus on personalizing our wedding and celebrating who we are. When I started my business, I wanted to be sure to offer the same stress-free, joy-filled, personal experience to my clients as I help them create paper goods and signage for their weddings.
What is your ideal client like?
I love brides who aren't afraid to try new and fun things – especially when it comes to color! I love bright, happy weddings that are a genuine celebration of the couple and their love, not just the blog-worthy details.
What is your approach to design and calligraphy? How do you work with couples to bring their wedding paper dreams to life?
After their initial inquiry, I meet with brides to hear all the sweet details of their weddings to get an idea of their vision and dream for their weddings. From there, we talk about their dream paper goods and what they have in mind from me. After the initial consultation, I design an inspiration board to show colors, fonts, lettering styles, and inspiration photos to make sure we're on the same page before the design process is started.
Do couples choose from design templates or can you customize one based on their tastes?
Both! I offer semi-customizable suites through my website and Etsy where brides just provide the details and they are placed into existing designs. However, most of my clients choose to have me design custom invitation suites based on their tastes, style, and vision.
What is the proofing process like?
My contract includes three rounds of proofing after the initial design is sent to the bride. Additional rounds of proofs are available for an added cost.
