You've heard the phrase “think outside the box,” right?  Well, when it comes to GreenSinner, it's a bit more complex than that.  They take the box, flip it upside down, punch a hole in it, hang it from the ceiling, and then call it art.  That's just how faaaaaar they think outside the box.  But the result is ALWAYS pure genius.  Priding themselves on designing experiences not just floral arrangements, GreenSinner knows that your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing.  That's exactly why they think you should celebrate it in a special way.  Bring nature indoors, stage a production, create an environment…whatever it takes to tell your story and give your guests something they've never seen.  Sound like what you're going for?  Then you'll love working with them!

Tell me a little bit about your business!

We call ourselves GreenSinner because we are not green saints.  And we do things a little differently.  We're part florists, part artists, part design house, part experience makers.  It's not about the flowers; it's about the people.  We thrive on creating memories and we just happen to do it with fresh blooms.  We consider ourselves craftspeople.  Florists work with flowers…we work with just about everything.

We use our background in theatre and event planning to approach floral design with a fresh perspective.  Much like attending a production or event gives you an experience, we want our creations to do the same.  The ambiance, people coming together, and giving them something they haven't seen before.  We're most happy when someone says “I've never seen anything like that before!”  Yeah, that's kind of what we do.

What makes your work unique?  Why should brides and grooms hire you?

Environmentally friendly is how we do business.  We're fiercely committed to shopping local and being sustainable.  We grow over 14,000 flowers at our Lawrenceville location, and we source one-third of the stems we use from local farms.

Most importantly, every arrangement or bouquet that leaves GreenSinner's shop reflects the client it is for.  All of our work is completely custom and personalized.  Most of the time, we don't have a plan going into the initial meeting with a client.  We take the time to get to know them first – their likes, dislikes, their personality, quirks, how they fell in love, what they share in common, what story they want their wedding day to tell, etc. etc. etc.  Then, we design with all of that in mind.  Your wedding day shouldn't be trendy or in style; it should be reflective and 100% unique.

What is your ideal client like?

Our ideal client is someone who understands how to trust a creative.  We aren't in the business of perfect; we're in the business of beautiful.  We love using flowers, fabrics, light, texture, color, even smells to tell a story.  We like big ideas and we love the clients who let us execute them.

What is your approach to floral design?  How do you work with couples to bring their floral dreams to life?

We know what works well in certain spaces, and we know what's important to our clients.  We create arrangements that reflect both.  While Pinterest can help spark a conversation, it shouldn't design your wedding.  We'll take your inspiration and we'll do our thing.  During our first date – what we like to call initial meeting with a new client – we first establish an element of understanding and trust.  By talking about the silhouette of your dress, the colors of your venue, and what parts of your wedding day you want to showcase, we'll get to know you better.  That's the only way we can design something that is truly one of a kind.

What other items do you offer?

We have a vast inventory of containers, props, frames, fabrics, custom signage, table numbers, set design pieces, you name it.  We also boast an in-house artist and calligrapher.

At our studio, we also offer various workshops and classes, and can even host small events.  Want us to bring the flowers to you?  It's not a problem with our Make Your Own bout bar.
