From the bride…

When and how did you two meet?

We met our freshman year of college in 2008.  Anthony and I were at the same college party one weekend and found each other in this little red and yellow house.  After keeping in touch for four months, Anthony set up a scavenger hunt across the campus with clues like “where we get coffee each morning” and a final clue saying “meet me in the courtyard.”  Anthony met me with a bouquet of flowers and asked if I would be his girlfriend.  We've been experiencing life together ever since!”

Juicy details on the proposal, please!  Where, when, how?

On August 1, 2016, right after a thunderstorm in Pittsburgh and a few days before we moved to Texas, I said “Yes!” to my best friend standing on the North Shore next to the water.  We walked to a nearby restaurant where our family was waiting to celebrate our engagement and next chapter.

Describe the engagement session.

We took our engagement pictures on the North Side to capture the character and essence of Pittsburgh.  We've noticed after being away from home that we miss the hills, colorful homes, and small towns.  Our home in Texas is filled with Pittsburgh touches.  We wanted to incorporate that into our engagement photos.  We loved the idea of using the bridges and brick streets as a backdrop.  The weather was so perfect: sun and a warm wind.  Thinking back to our engagement shoot, the words that come to mind are warm, giggly, and authentic.
