For these two high school sweethearts, their Succop Conservancy wedding was a long time coming. After dating for eight years and getting engaged right at home, KerriAnn and James celebrated in whimsical fashion. The gorgeous grounds of Succop served as a nature-filled backdrop while a palette of rich burgundy and girly blush pink brought tons of color to the soiree, which was executed with the help of Pittsburgh wedding planner Your Big Day. With strings of bistro lights, an abundance of candles, golden bud vases, and glitter table numbers, the pair gave a glitzy look to the otherwise rustic vibes of the open air pavilion. Prior to the party, KerriAnn and James became husband and wife al fresco style, exchanging vows surrounded by willow trees and fresh air. Touches of homespun love and DIY projects abounded while healthy doses of glamour caught guests’ eye and vintage details provided a throwback vibe. All in all, it was a magical day that seamlessly combined styles but, more importantly, families. About the Couple
We have known each since middle school. He’s always been this shy, quiet but sweet guy that had a few classes with me over the years. Our senior year in high school is when he finally asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes.
The day he proposed I had just gotten home from work to the house cleaned and dinner cooked and waiting! Mind you, he does not like to cook! I was just too tired to think anything of it except, “Oh, this is so nice that I don’t have to cook!” After dinner, I went in the living room to just relax and watch TV and James went upstairs. Soon after, he came back downstairs and came right over to me and got down on his knee. I immediately started to cry! Being together eight years at the time, I knew it would happen eventually, but it being in our home made it so sweet! He told me how he always knew I was the one and how much he loved me. We were both crying at that point. Finally he asked, “Will you marry me?” And I said yes! So sweet, simple, but intimate with our fur babies with us!
About the Wedding
Burgundy, blush, gold, and ivory! We had the cutest camper photo booth. Our photographer Krystle did portraits of us in it and the guests lined up all night for photos!
Favorite Moment
From the photographer…
I am a sucker for night photos, so the images in front of the Succop house at night are some of my favorites!
