Raun and Steven’s wedding at The Pump House nurtured a balance of industrial detail and natural, organic beauty. Captured by Kayla Lynn Photos, the couple began their day at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, where they got ready before heading to the venue. The outdoor portraits perfectly embraced the industrial-meets-organic theme, framed by vibrant color-changing leaves of fall. Located along the Monongahela River, The Pump House provided a unique setting for their outdoor ceremony, held on the labyrinth in the grass. Both grooms wore SAYKI Suits as they walked down the aisle together. Fall-inspired bouquets surrounded them at the altar. The Bearded Iris curated a beautiful blue and orange color story for their floral design, incorporating dried elements for added texture. Inside, sleek, modern elements paired with softer touches, as smaller floral arrangements rested in amber vases. Tasty Bakery crafted a show-stopping cake, adorned with deep blue watercolor-inspired flourishes on each tier. Throughout the day, heartfelt speeches and constant cheers reflected the boundless support surrounding the couple. “It was an absolutely spectacular day,” commented Kayla Lynn.
About the Couple
Raun and Steven’s first date, a casual outing for tacos and margaritas, turned into a three-year long-distance relationship. At the time, Steven lived in the city and Raun was visiting Pittsburgh on a work trip, but they were determined to make it work. In 2019, they both made the move to Chicago to be together. A few years later, while visiting friends in Sonoma, California, Raun popped the question as they sipped wine at sunset.

This wedding was all about blending industrial vibes with natural beauty. The decor seamlessly combined sleek, modern elements with soft, organic touches, creating a vibe that felt both elegant and laid-back. The industrial venue paired perfectly with the vibrant florals. The color palette of dusty blue, greens, burnt oranges, and a variety of florals complemented the fall foliage and reflected the couple’s style.
Their fur baby, Grace Autumn, made a special appearance for photos with her dads. Her presence was even honored with a signature cocktail named after her, which guests enjoyed just before the ceremony.
It was truly a celebration of love – not just between the couple, but for everyone who has witnessed their journey together. The ceremony was intimate and personal, with their best friend officiating, surrounded by family and close friends. Raun and Steven walked down the aisle together in an emotional ceremony filled with love, laughter, and tears – truly unforgettable. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight! The outpouring of support from both families was incredible, and you could feel the depth of love they had for the couple. From heartfelt speeches during the reception to constant cheers, their families made the day feel even more special. And of course, the dance floor turned into a full-on party, complete with pride pins and all-around good vibes! It was an absolutely spectacular day that I will never forget.
Favorite Moment
Out of all the amazing moments from the day, my favorite happened during their ceremony. As I was snapping photos and observing the crowd, I noticed every single family member wiping away tears and laughing at the same time. It was such an emotional and beautiful moment, and it resulted in a photo that will always stick with me. Even the couple mentioned it as one of their most priceless images from the day. It truly captured the pure love and joy everyone felt for Raun and Steven. Heck, I was even tearing up behind my camera!
