Chelsie and Mark’s Gateway Clipper wedding is flowing with inspiration. The bride and groom’s vision was inspired by none other than Pittsburgh icon and famous pop artist Andy Warhol. This meant loads of color, artistic elements, and fun attire were absolute must-haves! They brought on-board (no pun intended) Olive & Rose Events to make sure all the features of the aspired “unique but playful day” came together flawlessly. Community Flower Shop designed the most interesting flower arrangements including Chelsie’s poppin’ bouquet and a two-column ceremony backdrop that was chock full of color and whimsical vibes. While the outdoor setting was as lively as can be, inside the riverboat carried just as much energy. Sculpted figurines draped in blooms, neon signs, a modern lounge area from Event Source, and a Swiss dot wedding cake by Bethel Bakery all made the aesthetic bold and creative. And with a day with this much enthusiasm, it only makes sense that Chelsie changed out of her gorgeous ceremony wedding dress from BHLDN into a fun Grace Loves Lace cocktail dress to dance the night away. Everything Tyler Norman Photography captures turns to gold, but in this case his images shine light on a full blown rainbow! About the Couple
Chelsie and Mark had both recently relocated to San Francisco and connected via Bumble. After some screening questions via the app, Chelsie selected a time and place for their first date – a local bar called the Wreck Room. The first date included a few too many beers for a Tuesday night and several competitions over pool, shuffleboard, and darts. They rounded the night out at Grubsteak, where Chelsie proceeded to order one of everything for herself. At this point, Mark knew that he’d met his match.
Mark thought he planned everything accordingly. He had a friend scope out a hiking spot in Sedona when he was there a few weekends before, brought the champagne and snacks, and he even made sure the dogs could come. What he didn’t take into account was that Chelsie doesn’t eat breakfast so she didn’t want to stop and eat at the planned location. Luckily, the second location ended up being much more private with the beautiful Sedona landscape around them.
About the Wedding
Mark and Chelsie opted to have their wedding on the water on the Gateway Clipper. In their words they wanted a “unique playful theme to bring to the guests.” They love art and Andy Warhol, so an Andy Warhol theme was the way to go!
