With an urban Pittsburgh wedding venue as versatile as Roost, it’s hard to settle on just one look. That’s why for this styled shoot, we designed not one, not two, but THREE! That’s right – Burgh Brides teamed up with an all-star cast of Pittsburgh wedding vendors (be sure to find them at the bottom of this post!) to conceptualize and bring to life a variety of looks, all of which are sure to inspire. Whether your dream wedding look is fresh and contemporary, organic and airy, or glamorous and dramatic, we’ve got you covered. That’s because while it may not immediately seem like it, Roost is one of the most blank slate event spaces this city has to offer. Take a gander at some of the incredible designs that work well in this hotel/restaurant wedding venue and then let one (or all?) of them inspire your own celebration!

Look One
We kicked things off in a subtle but striking way. Our first look mirrored minimalism and clean design. Natural shades of green were the only colors to be found against an otherwise stark palette of white and black, and we chose to play up the woodsy, earthy, and rustic ambiance of the space. Roost’s resident wooden farm table dotted with simple white china created a familial atmosphere. Dainty floral arrangements ran the length of the table while a golden, antler-inspired candelabra held black taper candles for an unexpected twist. A black cake completed the surprises. A gown featuring 3D floral lace and another in the airiest silk fabric kept our bridal looks simple but stunning. This style proves that less can most definitely be more.Â
Look Two
Look number two was where whimsy charm met sophisticated style. Everything was elevated just a bit as we introduced more color, texture, and details. Muted yellow, peach, mauve, and sage green gave the look the light pops it needed to come alive. Wooden charger plates and matte gold flatware brought visual interest to each place setting, while an asymmetrical floral arrangement and a hand-spun silk table runner were the focal points of the table. The whimsical vibes were carried into our bridal looks with an oversized bouquet for one model and a unique floral hoop for the other. A white jumpsuit was a contemporary contrast against a more traditional wedding gown paired with a cathedral length veil. This look is as modern as it is beautiful – perfect for the couple looking for a breathtaking happy medium.Â
Look Three
Save the best for last, right? We brought out alllll the bells and whistles for our third and final look. As the sun went down, the glam factor went up. To bring this evening look to life, we weren’t afraid to go BOLD. Our color palette turned darker with gunmetal, pewter, gray, black, and navy playing center stage. The inky hues were softened ever so slightly with monochromatic white florals of tulips, ranunculus, and irises in mercury glass vases. Steel-inspired chairs sat around our table while chargers with grommet vibes adorned each place setting. A dramatic watercolor cake polished off the head-turning details. Even our models’ bridal looks were given some sass with darkened lips and gowns featuring heavy beading. But the most show-stopping part of this stylized concept has got to be the twilight portraits. Both inside and outside the venue – along with around Market Square – there were numerous spots for romantic, heart-thumping, subtly sexy photos that made use of that nighttime glow.
