Urban Decay Engagement Session: Camilla & Josh

by Burgh Brides September 22, 2016

I’m bringing you a double dose of real Pittsburgh love this week with this urban decay engagement session.  According to Sara of Bona Fide Photo, that’s how the bride described the shoot and I couldn’t agree more.  A little bit edgy, Camilla and Josh’s pre-wedding pics take in a side of the Strip District that you don’t often see while also showing off the pair’s hipster style.  Some hidden gems on a few back streets and an old tire service lot make these photos gritty, while still pretty in their own unique way.  This bride wasn’t afraid to climb all over the massive tires, even while in a dress and heels.  Bold and a bit grungy, these engagement photos are a break from the norm.  And I love that!

From the photographer…

There is a very hipster, grunge feeling about this engagement session set in the Strip District.  The groom is studying Neuroscience, while the bride is getting a Ph.D. in Archaeology.  They are interesting in so many ways and this is one of my favorite shoots to date.  They wanted something unique.  When I met with them, they had an edgy vibe and the bride had lots of wonderful ideas. They were a dream come true to photograph!  My favorite moment was when Camilla climbed on the massive tires in wedges, without hesitation.
