Everyone knows the view of the downtown skyline and the yellow bridges is what makes our city awesome, but this unique Pittsburgh engagement session takes it to another level! Jessica and Michael hopped aboard Jessica’s sister’s boat and hit the water with Michael Will Photographers as a stow-away. With the urban landscape in the background, this pair explored the waterways while Michael snapped away, capturing the two love birds from very unique angles. Afterward, they hit up Point State Park for pictures by the infamous fountain that are sure to make quite the splash. Just when we thought our city couldn’t get any prettier, Michael gives us a new perspective. Pittsburgh, you’re like really pretty.
About the Couple
We met on Tinder; Mike is actually the first and only guy I met up with! We had our first date at Carson City Saloon to watch a Pens game.
We got engaged in Minneapolis behind a frozen waterfall. I was very hesitant to hike behind the waterfall because it was a steep hike and very icy. I didn’t know it but Mike had seen pictures of behind the frozen falls and knew that’s where he wanted to do it. Luckily, my friend, Emily, who we were visiting, was there to give me the nudge I needed to hike up there. I’m so glad I did, though I was extremely nervous to hike back down with my new bling!
About the Session
We started out casually dressed in Schenley Park and Mike’s parents brought our dog, Phil. We love hiking this park so it was the perfect place and the railroad tracks were a bonus too! Then we headed to the Point, formally dressed. Our photographer was so much fun to work with and when I said, “My sister has a boat we could get on,” he was totally on board (literally). He was so amazing and our photographs came out so well. You should have seen him climb on the seats of the boat to get the perfect shot. Being on the boat allowed for so many cool and unique photos with the skyline in the background.
