With a rooftop ceremony overlooking the Cathedral of Learning and details that will make any girly girl swoon, this University Club wedding is sure to be a fast favorite. Jessica and Christopher wanted to seamlessly marry their two styles (see what we did there?) – his classic and hers glamorous. The result was an effortless blend of sparkly blush pink and gold with timeless wedding elements. After saying “I do” al fresco style under Vintage Alley Rental’s infamous moon arch, the newlyweds celebrated in classic ballroom fashion. The University Club was adorned with elegant place settings, iridescent linens, and elevated florals of white hydrangeas and white and peach roses from Gidas Flowers. To cap off the best day ever, Jessica and Chris bid their guests farewell with a sparkler send-off. Ryan Zarichnak Photography and Traveling Heart Productions captured every single picture perfect detail and it’s all below for you viewing pleasure!
About the Couple
We are college sweethearts. We met freshman year 2005 in NYC. We have been together ever since! In 2014, we moved to Christopher’s hometown of Pittsburgh and purchased our first home. Two years later on Christmas morning, Chris proposed as my family from NYC witnessed via FaceTime!
About the Wedding
What inspired me was my engagement ring – a gold, round solitaire diamond. It is timeless and classy. I also wanted to include intricate details from my wedding dress in the stationery. I wanted to add blush and gold for a dainty and romantic feel. I would say our wedding reflected sophistication, timelessness, and romance with a touch of glam. What was unique was that both of our styles – Chris’s traditional classic and my glam – were able to merge together so beautifully. The moon arch ceremony backdrop from Vintage Alley Rentals was definitely a nice, unique touch on the rooftop. The day was perfect for an outside ceremony!
Favorite Moment
Our first look was crucial. Chris was super nervous due to the wedding day being busy and hectic. Having a moment to see each other and relax during our first look was what we needed. I would agree seeing my husband-to-be and our son was the normalcy I needed to weigh down my wedding day jitters! After our first look, it felt like everything fell into place. Our wedding day was perfect.
