Alyssa’s engagement dream came true thanks to her best friend, who joined her for a snowy surprise proposal at The Point. When they were teenagers, Alyssa had mentioned that Point State Park would be a beautiful place to get engaged. Years later, her friend remembered that conversation and tipped off Garrett, helping him turn Alyssa’s dream into reality. To complete the day, Carly Ferraco Photography captured every moment of surprise – along with a celebratory champagne pop! Alyssa looked effortlessly “snow flurry chic” in her elegant black dress and stilettos. Though she initially believed the photos were for a different occasion, she felt completely at ease that day, especially after finding the perfect dress. After the outdoor session, the group headed to Shorty’s Pins x Pints, where they played arcade games and posed on barstools and funky furniture, rounding out an already unforgettable celebration.

About the Couple
For Garrett and Alyssa, their time together felt natural from the start. They met through a mutual friend and spent their first date playing mini-golf – though Alyssa’s ball somehow kept finding its way into the pond. She recalls, “When he picked me up, his big, radiant smile lit up the moment he saw me. I couldn’t help but blush and giggle because of how handsome he was.” They spent the evening deep in conversation and officially started dating a month later.
Two years later, Garrett proposed – something he had been planning for months. At the beginning of November, he told Alyssa they needed photos together for a work banquet contest. “I totally believed him,” she admits. “And I was kind of annoyed!” She wanted the photos to turn out well, which meant stressing over the details – her hair, nails, and outfit. But as the day approached and everything started coming together, her frustration turned into excitement – she had found the perfect dress. What she didn’t know was that Garrett had an even bigger surprise in store.

About the Proposal
From the bride…
My friend helped inspire our engagement. When we were teenagers, I mentioned that The Point would be a beautiful place to get engaged. All these years later, she remembered that conversation and passed the idea along to Garrett.
For my engagement, I only wanted a few things: a private moment, my nails done, a photographer, and for my best friend to be there. With her help, Garrett made every one of those wishes come true. It was such a thoughtful, heartfelt moment, surrounded by everything and everyone I cared about most – I wish I could relive it a million times over. I feel so excited and blessed to start this journey with the absolute love of my life.
