Excuse us while we wipe the drool off our screen…these Pittsburgh wedding cakes are absolutely to DIE FOR! We’re talking works of art that are almost too pretty to eat…almost. From sugar flowers that you’d swear were the real thing to metallic trends to soft, simple, and sophisticated, the styles vary greatly but there is one thing you can count on…you’ll likely be hungry after scrolling through this post! Check out the sweetest start to our Best of 2019 round up series!
More Dark & Dramatic Wedding Cakes, Please!
Bella Christie did not disappoint with this black (yes, we said black) three-tiered cake featuring florals to match the rest of the decor at this RiverFront Weddings affair. The palette and design for the celebration was striking and unexpected. Throw in a sweet treat to match and the entire thing is a WHOLE MOOD.

Texture and Fresh Florals FTW
To match the rustic and whimsical vibe of their Shady Elms Farm wedding, Ansley and Anthony chose a cake from Tasty Bakery that featured buttercream texture and the same blooms from the floral arrangements. A metallic topper proving just how far the couple’s love went was the perfect finishing touch to a dessert that is equally pretty and delicious, we’re sure!

Geo, Marble, and Gold, Oh My!
Bethel Bakery takes the cake (we couldn’t help ourselves) with this creation that features a geometric shape on the bottom tier, gold leafing, and a marble-like effect. It perfectly matched the other details of this modern navy blue and burgundy wedding at SLATE and was crowned with a laser-cut wooden Mr. & Mrs. piece. Trends on trends on trends!

Belle et Douce
Beautiful and sweet, this stunner comes to us from none other than Bella Christie, of course. This confection features a watercolor painting of an Eiffel Tower scene and was the perfect compliment to the Paris inspired wedding at the LeMont. Intricate sugar flowers and gold detailing finished off the cake that totally deserves it’s own spot in the Louvre!

Pretty in Pink
To match the style of this casual yet elegant wedding at the Westin Convention Center, Fenoglietto’s whipped up a treat that included metallic pink layers, playful hearts, and rhinestones. It’s the perfect combination of girly, flirty, and fun. The only question left to answer is what tier to dig into first!

Our Version of Blue Steel
While the rest of this round up features wedding cakes from real Pittsburgh weddings, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to Four Oaks Bakery for this absolutely incredible creation for this urban edgy styled shoot at Nova Place. The teal fondant number was a dreamy match for our jewel-toned color palette and the attention to detail was unparalleled. Plus – and we can say this from personal experience – this cake tasted DAMN good, too (and we’re total cake snobs at Burgh Brides)! An all-around winner!
