Grab your oversized floral hat and put your fancy dress on! Brielle’s tea party bridal shower at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort was a celebration filled with style and grace. The sweet soiree came with no lack of the prettiest pink color palette. The entire bridal party dressed in the girly shade with stationery, flowers, and a macaron cake display following suit in the venue’s Crystal Tea Room. Brielle felt inspired by the history of tea rooms in making this the theme for her pre-wedding celebration. It was her hope that all ladies in attendance felt a sense of empowerment too. Conversations were had over a variety of teas, desserts, and small plates before later reuniting with her beau for some beautiful portraits around the property, complete with a vintage carriage too! We’re so lucky Iris Marie Photography was there to capture each moment of the day. Tea-time and dreamy details straight ahead!
About the Shower
Some history of tea rooms explains that they were opened by women in the early 1900s, giving women a purpose outside of home management and empowering them. Some women would open a room in their home; others would rent barns. Women would gather over tea to discuss important matters, debate, and collaborate. Tea parties have a very empowering, feminist history, which is what Brielle wanted all her guests to feel at her shower. She encouraged them to enjoy the various types of teas, tea cakes, and desserts while discussing their passions and interests, and sharing their thoughts with one another. Each guest was able to take home a tea cup and matching saucer and every bouquet was placed in a ceramic kettle. All of the guests came dressed in their best tea party attire (pink being the preferred color) with big floral hats and all!
