Despite getting married in Marissa’s home state of New York, this couple wanted their engagement session to take place in Pittsburgh, the city they love and call home. Marissa and Mike met while both attending Syracuse University, and now they live right here in the Burgh. So naturally they wanted their e-session to encompass two of their favorite things- orange and bridges!
Nailed it. These are some of the best, most “Pittsburgh” photos I’ve seen. The city looks great, Marissa and Mike look great, and man oh man isn’t the Clemente Bridge the coolest ever? Seriously, if you live in a city without bridges, where on earth do you take photos? Because they make for incredible backdrops!
J. Lynne Images took these cute shots and she was stoked to travel to New York for their Labor Day Weekend wedding. Marissa and Mike are about as cute as can be and I’m certain their wedding was too. Congrats!
From the photographer…
When and how did these two meet?
She’s from New York. He’s from Pittsburgh. They met in Syracuse while in college. Their engagement sums up everything they love…orange, the city, bridges, and each other.
What inspired the vision of the shoot?
Marissa and Mike got married in New York this fall, but they wanted to capture their new home of Pittsburgh in their engagement photos. Surprisingly, I had never photographed a couple on the Roberto Clemente Bridge until this shoot! Marissa’s one request was to have photos with the bridges and I think we were successful! We had perfect weather as we walked through the North Shore to capture some loving, fun photos.
