There are advantages to waking up at the crack of dawn to catch a sunrise. For one thing, it’s the perfect opportunity to get some really awesome photographs. Like the ones Kristland Lee took of Kim and Dante during their well-timed engagement session. Inspired by their love of the outdoors and Dante’s love of fishing, the pair headed to Moraine State Park where they paddled in a canoe, sat on the dock, and dipped their fishing poles into the lake. The unique setting coupled with the sun progressively breaking the horizon made for a serene session bathed in a beautiful glow. A pretty landscape made even prettier by an adorable couple in love! I think it’s safe to say this session was totally worth the early alarm clock. Enjoy!
From the photographer…
This couple wanted their engagement session to really incorporate who they are and what they love. They love being out in nature and Dante especially loves fishing. They told me their ideas of a canoe and having more casual photos. So we went to Moraine State Park and incorporated all of that: a canoe in the water, fishing poles, the dock, etc. I thought a sunrise shoot would be gorgeous on the water, and oh my goodness, it was heavenly! I had never done a session at sunrise before and could only imagine how amazing it would look on the water and coming over the trees at Moraine State Park. It was everything we had envisioned and more. We were so happy with how the photos turned out!
