Style, color, and unique design were the main ingredients of Andrea and Kyle’s gorgeous PointView Hall wedding. They worked with each vendor to create trendy, one-of-a-kind details for their big day that reflected their personal style and their own special love story. Anne Gregory Couture was able to design Andrea’s dream wedding dress by combining two Anne Barge styles into one. Meanwhile, Kyle worked with Indochino to ensure his flair shined through a floral suit jacket lining and his initials embroidered inside. They both looked dashing as they said “I do” at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Duquesne University before celebrating in the scenic reception space that was decked out to perfection! Since Andrea and Kyle both love bright hues, it only made sense that ultra violet and other purple and magenta jewel tones were a dominant force in the color palette. Bouquets, boutonnieres, and stunning centerpieces from greenSinner along with linens courtesy of Lendable Linens all carried the colors, making the simplest of elements pop with ease. Of course, the details wouldn’t be complete without the couple’s beloved dog, Nova, who made an appearance on their textured wedding cake and signature cocktail drink sign. About the Couple
Kyle and Andrea met at a Super Bowl party in 2017. Kyle, being a Patriots fan, was heavily invested in the come-from-behind victory and showed his love for sports while pacing around the TV. Andrea, also an avid sports fan but of better teams, left the party after the game, saying, “Thanks for having me. I respect your fandom, but dislike your team”. Safe to say, Steeler/Patriot games are a silent day in their household. They started their relationship in Northern Virginia, enjoying their time traveling and exploring the many wineries in the area. The couple moved to Columbus, OH in 2019.
For the proposal on June 1, 2019, Kyle planned a surprise in coordination with a friend. Sarah invited Andrea and Kyle out to dinner to meet her new boyfriend. They had reservations at a local Italian restraunt that has since become one of their favorite spots in Columbus. They stopped at nearby Goodale Park to wait for the reservation as it had been “delayed”. They walked around to the gazebo, since their first picture as a couple was in a gazebo at a friends’ wedding. As luck would have it, that the gazebo had another person sitting in it, so Kyle led the group to the next best spot around the pond. As they took a picture together, Kyle got down on one knee.
About the Wedding
Kyle and Andrea love color, whether it’s Kyle’s fashionable wardrobe or the pops of color in their Columbus home.
As a graduate of Duquesne, it was so special for Andrea to be married in the chapel. Andrea’s grandparents had met over 60 years ago at Duquesne so it was special to connect with her grandfather.
A majority of Kyle’s friends and family had never been to Pittsburgh, and what better way to show it off than that gorgeous view from PointView Hall.
It’s hard to be unique and that is something Andrea tried to do with each of her vendors, from the couple designing all of the stationery to Andrea combining two Anne Barge dresses to create her perfect dress.
Kyle was a pretty hands-on groom and was integral in each part of the planning process. He knew his outfit had to match his personality and opted for a custom tux including a floral lining and his initials.
As part of Andrea’s dad’s speech, it was discovered that her great great grandparents had been married on the same day in 1900 nearby in the North Side of Pittsburgh. Although this was not known by the couple before, it truly made the day meant to be.
Favorite Moment
The reception dancing was something to remember. Kyle’s spotlight moment was singing “Mr. Brightside” with his college friends and Andrea’s was a girls only “What Dreams Are Made Of” dance that had been in the making for over 15 years.
