Celebrating family and the holiday season, Taylor and Nicholas’ winter wedding at The Fez was a perfect blend of sparkling details and timeless elegance. Kristen Wynn Photography beautifully captured the day, which began with outdoor portraits at Robin Hill Park in Moon Township. Taylor stunned in a fully beaded long-sleeved gown from House of Couture Designs, with a subtle vintage feel. She completed her look with a sparkling floral tiara and matching earrings to complement her glamorous waves styled by Pittsburgh Beauty Company. The ceremony took place in the Rogal Chapel at Robert Morris University, where the couple exchanged vows beneath an altar adorned with cedar boughs, framed by a breathtaking wall of windows. The DIY bouquets and boutonnieres, crafted from ivory faux flowers, glittering faux ferns, and pinecones, added a personal and festive touch. Most memorably, the reception was held in the Balconnade Room at The Fez – the very room where Taylor’s parents had celebrated their own wedding years ago, bringing the couple’s love story full circle.
About the Couple
Taylor and Nicholas recently reconnected after originally knowing each other in high school. Over the past year and a half, they’ve spent time dating and rediscovering the people they’ve grown into – falling in love along the way. Last spring, Nicholas proposed during an afternoon of fishing at Raccoon Creek State Park.

The couple included many sentimental nods to their family throughout their wedding day. One thing I quickly learned about Taylor was her incredibly close bond with her grandfather, who had passed about a year before the wedding. Nicholas honored him by wearing his watch on the big day. The reception was held in the same room where Taylor’s parents had celebrated their own wedding years ago, and we recreated a photo of her pointing to the sign, just like her parents had done. Her father’s heartfelt speech brought everyone to tears – truly a full circle moment.

Taylor’s gown featured sparkling long sleeves with a pouf at the shoulders. However, with the day warming up to a comfortable 60 degrees in December, the long sleeves weren’t necessary. With the help of her bridesmaid, the two fearlessly cut her wedding gown’s long sleeves into little short sleeves at the reception – it was adorable.
