With the iconic color of the world’s most famous jewelry store playing center stage, this Shady Elms Farm wedding is as beautiful as it sounds. Accents of the easily recognizable hue were first spotted on the bottom of Sara’s rhinestone-covered Betsey Johnson shoes, which were the perfect compliment to her intricately beaded Allison Webb wedding dress from Bridal Beginning. After the high school sweethearts exchanged vows under a trellis heavily covered in cascading greenery, even more pops of mint could be found in the reception space. Bright napkins and centerpieces of dahlias, amaranthus, roses, and other fall flowers arranged by Shady Elms Farm added color to tables dressed in crisp white linens. Mini pumpkins honored the autumn season while string lights added even more beauty to the venue. While the details were noteworthy, our favorite aspect was Sara and Cory’s first dance. Dreamy fog surrounded the couple while they danced, making it a moment no one will forget. It’s just a good thing Live Painting PGH by Jaison & Stephanie was there to turn it into a work of art before guests’ very eyes. A three-tier chocolate wedding cake from Tasty Bakery and a sparkler send-off were the perfect endings to this magical day, which was perfectly captured by Michael Will Photography.

About the Couple
We met freshman year of high school and have been together ever since. Our first date was on Valentine’s Day, which is also Cory’s birthday. After high school, we went to WVU together, where we met some of our best friends.
We got engaged on October 15, 2019 in Gatlinburg, TN on top of a mountain in the Smokies. It was perfect! Cory hired a professional photographer to take pictures of it. It was also our first vacation together. Then, we celebrated in Nashville.

About the Wedding
We wanted a rustic wedding and Shady Elms Farm was the perfect place – rustic yet beautiful and elegant/classy at the same time. Our colors were mint/Tiffany Blue, which is my favorite color. We also wanted to get married in fall because it’s our favorite time of year and we love when the leaves turn. One of our close college friends married us, which made it super intimate and unique. Our DJ had us dancing the entire night! Afterwards, we kept the party going at the Meadows Casino.

Favorite Moment
My favorite moment was when the rainy, gloomy day turned sunny literally 15 minutes before I walked down the aisle and it stayed sunny long enough for the ceremony and pictures. Also, when the DJ played “Take Me Home, Country Roads” (aka The WVU song).
