Serenity & Gold Wedding Inspiration

by Burgh Brides June 30, 2016

Nothing reminds me more of a fairy tale than a serenity & gold wedding.  There is something about this color combination that is so ethereal, so magical.  Serenity is crazy everywhere this year, thanks to Pantone’s Color of the Year picks.  And while this light shade of blue is incredibly beautiful on its own, pair it with gold and you’re transported to another place, time, or dimension.  The softness of serenity makes it feminine, but adding a metallic makes it sophisticated and modern.  A wedding day with this color palette is bound to be classic and unforgettable.  Gold foil invitations with traditional gold calligraphed envelopes will set the tone of the day for your guests.  For bridesmaids dresses and table linens, opt for light fabrics like tulle, chiffon, and organza to keep the airiness of serenity alive.   If you’re brave, consider a wedding dress in this hot hue!  Gold candlesticks, tons of mercury glass, and even gold, hand-lettered mirrors doubling as signs will give your reception the dose of sparkle it needs.  Consider sequin linens for your sweetheart or cake table for a dazzling display.  However you bring it to life, serenity and gold is a color combo that will leave you breathless for sure.
