Airy and dreamy, this engagement session is something out of a fairy tale. Like most gals, Dana grew up loving the classic princess stories. So when it came time to plan her and Taylor’s engagement shoot, no place seemed better than Pittsburgh’s own Mellon Park. The wrought iron fences, stone and brick walls, towering ivy, bubbling fountain, and twisted tree branches give it an out-of-a-story-book quality, perfect for the Secret Garden feel the couple was going for. The pink cherry blossom trees, white tulips, and other beautiful blooms helped too, of course. With a glowing sun behind them, Dana and Taylor looked like a fairy tale prince and princess exploring a magical garden they had all to themselves. Le sigh.
These soft and romantic photos from Kelly Adrienne Photography are sure to make your heart melt. Let the swooning begin.
From the bride…
When and how did you two meet?
At a 2012 St. Patrick’s Day party in Oakland! Taylor was attending CMU and I was attending Pitt.
Juicy details on the proposal, please! Where, when, how?
Taylor sent me on a surprise scavenger hunt all around Erie (our special place). He had clues at all of the places we have visited there, including the Erie Zoo! The scavenger hunt ended on the beach, where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Describe the engagement session.
Secret garden with a little fairy tale mixed in! Like many young girls, I have always loved fairy tales. When I visited Mellon Park, it looked just like a fairy tale garden that might exist outside of an English castle. How romantic!!
