Stone features, woodsy details, and lush florals make this rustic modern wedding at Nemacolin a little bit of classic-meets-boho magic! To reflect their own personal styles, Morgan and Braden choose a wedding day that would stand the test of time. For starters, that meant a neutral palette of white, gray, green, and gold. The soft shades were woven throughout everything from the steel blue bridesmaids dresses from Bridal Beginning to the floral arrangements of dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, roses, and hydrangeas from Neubauer’s. An outdoor ceremony on a covered terrace was followed by a party in the Horizon Point of Nemacolin. Tall ceilings, wooden beams, and stone walls played into the day’s natural vibe while providing a striking setting for the affair. Gold centerpiece stands, foil menu cards, and mercury glass added just a hint of metallic to the otherwise soft decor. It was chic and simple but totally Instagram worthy. And just WAIT until you see those portraits from David McCandless Photography. This one is SO.GOOD. you guys.
About the Couple
We met at Washington & Jefferson College and started dating in our senior and junior years. Although it’s a small school and we never met until the end of our college years, once we did, we were together and inseparable. Five years later, we got engaged on a family vacation to Saint Maarten. Braden proposed with a promise ring inscribed with “Marry Me” on the inside.
About the Wedding
We were going for a rustic yet modern feel to our wedding. Our style is classic and simple and we really wanted something that would look timeless for years to come. The colors we chose were lots of grays, white, gold, and greenery throughout. I think our venue was what truly made it unique. The room is decorated with lots of stone and tall ceilings, which gives it that rustic and modern at the same time.
