A color palette of pink, cream, gold, and greenery came together beautifully at Caitlyn and Dylan’s Shady Elms Farm wedding. Despite the bride’s love for romantic, boho, and rustic vibes, the newlyweds were able to flawlessly blend all of these styles for a look that was downright dreamy. Speaking of dreamy, Caitlyn was a vision as she walked down the aisle in a Willowby by Watters wedding dress from Bridal Beginning. After exchanging vows under a wooden arch with their dog Oskar by their sides, Caitlyn and Dylan had fun documenting the day with Penderville Wedding Films and Samantha Taylor Photography. Crystal chandeliers, strung bistro lights, and tons of candle light brought a sparkling glow to the woodsy Pittsburgh wedding venue, while dripping florals and greenery table runners added a nature-inspired touch. A semi naked wedding cake from Bethel Bakery, music by 2nd II None Productions, and a Steel City Selfies photo booth were the perfect ways to cap off this incredible celebration that is proof you really can have your cake and eat it too.

About the Couple
We were introduced through mutual friends one night while at the gym. A few days later, I asked Dylan if he wanted to go out to dinner and we have been inseparable ever since! We got engaged in July of 2020 in my mom’s backyard, surrounded by family. My dog, Oskar, had the ring tied around his collar and delivered the ring to me. He’s been by my side for over 12 years so it was really special to have him be a part of the engagement.

About the Wedding
Our colors were different shades of pink, cream, lots of greenery, and gold accents. I wanted a romantic, rustic, boho vibe with vintage touches. I like a lot of different styles, so between the crystal chandeliers, greenery, gold chairs, brass candle sticks and gorgeous florals, we were able to incorporate all of these elements beautifully! It was important to me that the venue had a lot of character, so that anything added would elevate the space easily. Shady Elms was absolutely perfect and they were able to help me execute my vision. We brought all of our ideas together during our design meetings, and not one detail was missed; they truly went above and beyond. More than anything, we wanted our wedding to be fun. Our dance floor was packed all night, and everyone had an amazing time. We also had a photo booth, cigar bar, and corn hole. All of them were huge hits!
We got married under an arbor covered in vines and ivy, which featured a crystal chandelier. We also hired a harpist for the ceremony and it really added to the romantic vibes. Dylan’s grandfather officiated our wedding, which was so meaningful to us. His grandparents actually got married on the same day 56 years prior! Most importantly, our dog, Oskar, was standing right by our side during our ceremony. He is so special to both of us and having him be a big part of our day was so important. After the ceremony, we got lucky and there was a rainbow and an amazing sunset! Our wedding was truly everything we dreamed about!

Favorite Moment
From Caitlin…
I would say our last dance! Our DJ turned down the lights and had everyone turn their cell phone lights on to light up the dance floor and it was amazing! We chose to stay traditional and not do a first look, so this really felt like the “just us” moment and we got to take it all in and appreciate our loved ones who came to support us on our special day.
From Dylan…
My favorite part of the day was the ceremony and having my Pap officiate our wedding. It was very special to have him marry me to the person I want to spend forever with.
