Seamlessly blending old-world inspired elements, hints of glamour, and elevated rustic details, this rich whimsical wedding inspired styled shoot came to life thanks to an all-star team of Pittsburgh wedding vendors and yours truly. A color palette of burgundy, lavender, plum, gray, and silver packed just enough drama for visual interest in the ballroom at Southpointe Golf Club, while still being perfect for a smooth transition into the fall season. Our tablescape featured hints of nature – courtesy of wooden wicker-back chairs from All Occasions Party Rental, floral print menu cards from Purple Wagon Designs, and an elevated floral arrangement containing fresh artichokes made by Holly Hanna Floral – coupled with daring details like matte black flatware, metallic silver edged charger plates, and onyx glassware. If the rich, floral-inspired stationery isn’t enough to knock your socks off, the cake from Cakes by Colby certainly will. It featured an array of hand-made gum paste flowers that are dead ringers for the real things. A couture Eve of Milady ballgown from Bridal Beginning that captured a classic princess style paired beautifully with a modern burgundy suit from Surmesur on our groom. Overall, the look was one of romantic sophistication yet contemporary wedding trends, all rolled into one look that is sure to inspire!
