Emily and Evan’s engagement session at Grove City College is a sweet and sentimental stroll down memory lane! The couple met during their senior year on campus so it only made sense for these college sweethearts to return to the places where their romance blossomed. Erica Dietz Photography captured them snuggling on the very staircase where they took photos before their first date, kissing under the gazebo where they spent their last night before graduation, and dancing in front of the dormitories. Emily flaunted an ethereal, cream-colored dress and the locket Evan gifted her for Christmas, while Evan sported a sharp navy look complete with the dress shoes Emily gave him. The entire shoot was meaningful, romantic, and genuine – exactly the way Emily had envisioned it. If you’re an alumnus of Grove City College, this one is for you…but even if you’re not, we think you’re still going to love it!

About the Couple
We met our senior year at Grove City College in the fall of 2017. Our roommates – who are now married – set us up on a group outing to a corn maze and we immediately hit it off. After a couple months of being friends, Evan asked me to a dance and I said yes.
On Christmas Day 2021, surrounded by my family, I opened a beautifully wrapped present with a gorgeous music box inside. When I opened the music box, our song “Moon River” started playing, and I saw a sparkling diamond ring. Evan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and once again, I said yes!

About the Session
We chose Grove City College as the backdrop for our engagement session since that is where we met and first began falling in love. We chose to take the indoor shots because that is where we took photos together on our first date. We also wanted to take photos at the gazebo because we spent our last night before graduation there. The rest of the locations bring back memories of our campus strolls. I think our photo shoot was uniquely us – romantic and genuine. It felt like and looks like a fairytale, which is exactly what I wanted!
