Molly and Alexis’s Hotel Monaco wedding was equal parts whimsical, feminine, and timeless. A color palette of champagne, ivory, white, and blush pink gave the day a sweet softness that was carried throughout the stylish details, all of which were overseen by Wanderlust Weddings and Events. After a rooftop first look and a tear-jerking ceremony, the newlyweds frolicked around downtown with Tyler Norman Photography and Just Hitched Films who documented every picture perfect moment. Soon after, Molly and Alexis joined their guests for a stylish fete that celebrated their love. Tables were dressed with a mix of high and low floral arrangements from The Farmer’s Daughter Flowers while Oh Joyful Day provided a hand-lettered seating chart that hung from a copper pipe stand. A Bethel Bakery wedding cake decorated with rainbow jimmies and a greenery wall backdrop finished off with custom lettering and fresh flowers were two of the sweetest details. Speaking of sweet, just wait until you see the way these two look at each other. It is pure love and we’re here for every single minute of this beautiful celebration. Cheers to the newlyweds!

About the Couple
From the wedding planner…
This couple met each other briefly back in 2016 when Molly was living in Sacramento, CA and Alexis was living here in Pittsburgh. They worked at the same company and had one interaction back then about a work-related topic. Thinking nothing of it, they started following each other on social media. Several years passed before they spoke again but when Molly moved back to the east coast in 2018, she noticed Alexis’ Instagram story was an album cover of a song she liked. She replied to the Story saying, “Oh, I love this version!” After that simple message, they continued to talk every single day after that and fell in love over Instagram messaging, Snapchat conversations, texts, and eventually phone calls. One random Wednesday evening, they met up for dinner and drinks and the rest is history.
They got engaged in Charleston, SC. It’s Alexis’ favorite place ever. Molly always said to Alexis that she would NEVER propose on a vacation…and she did just that. She proposed in June 2019 in a beautiful little alley way lined with flowers and old buildings. She hired a photographer to capture the moment and the entire night was just pure joy.

About the Wedding
From the wedding planner…
The wedding was pure class. Anything at Hotel Monaco is unreal but the details and style that this couple went with were just incredible. They chose champagne, cream, white, and blush for the color palette. The flowers and table settings were those colors with a lot of greenery. They wanted black tie and this decor was perfect for it.
At the ceremony, each guest was greeted with a glass of champagne to enjoy during the vows. Molly and Alexis had one of their best friends act as the officiant and each of them had nine members in their wedding party. Each of them walked down the aisle accompanied by their dads and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
After the ceremony, they did a cocktail hour on the rooftop with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. The girls and their wedding party did a first look and all photos were done before the wedding, so they were able to enjoy cocktail hour. Then, dinner started with speeches and dancing immediately followed after. The dance floor was packed from start to finish and DJ Digital Dave killed it, per usual.

Favorite Moment
From the wedding planner…
Too many incredibly fun moments to name, but my favorite part was seeing both brides walk down the aisle. They each had their special moment of walking down in front of all their friends and family, but then I loved seeing Molly’s reaction once she saw Alexis walking down towards her. The ceremony was SO PERSONAL, and that is what I really loved about it. The flow of the entire day was perfect. We kept hearing from their guests that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to.
