Poppy Red Wedding Inspiration

by Burgh Brides August 25, 2016

As August winds down, I’m leaving you with one more color palette idea that is perfect for a summer wedding.  Poppy red is playful, festive, and bright and I absolutely love it!  This shade of red is warm with undertones of orange and yellow.  It exudes happiness and energy, making it perfect for that couple who wants a fun-filled wedding day.  Imagine a casual backyard affair with lawn games, a BBQ feast, and live music.  Think patterns like thin stripes, small polka dots, paisley, and floral prints.  Add whimsical touches with paper lanterns, bistro lights, and handmade-inspired centerpieces.  Poppies are an obvious choice for florals, but you will also find options with ranunculus, anemones, hypericum berries, sweet pea, and gerbera daisies.  If you’re looking for more than one color in your wedding day palette, you’re in luck; poppy red looks good with just about everything.  Treat it like a neutral and pair it with white, green, gray, yellow, orange, denim blue, or even purple.  Whether alone or with two or three other colors, poppy red will make for a wedding day that is youthful and cheery!
