We’re about to hit one out of the park with this PNC Park engagement session. Samantha and Adam have a special connection that allowed them VIP access to the stadium and field with no other soul in sight except for their photographer, Dawn Derbyshire. They cuddled next to each other in the stands, got cozy in the dugout, and took in views of the city from the sidelines. For their creativity and general awesomeness, we’d say these engagement pics are a total home run. After root-root-rooting for the home team, the pair changed into something dressier and took in the city. Classic bridge shots and black and gold attire matched the theme of their upcoming black tie wedding and the colors of Pittsburgh we all know so well. No matter where they are, Sam and Anthony are clearly head over heels in love and looking good while at they’re at it!
About the Couple
Adam and Samantha went to high school together and were always in the same group of friends, but never dated. Fast forward a decade later when Sam and her sister Libby were living in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In October of 2016, Hurricane Matthew was headed towards the island, so Sam and Libby evacuated to Pittsburgh. Adam saw on Facebook that Sam was home and took this as an opportunity to reach out and send her a text, asking her to catch up over drinks. Sam agreed and a few weeks later, Adam visited her in Hilton Head for the first time. They dated long-distance for over a year before Sam moved back to Pittsburgh. Adam knew Sam gave up her beach life for him, so he quickly began the engagement planning. On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Adam took Sam to Market Square to look at the Christmas tree and before Sam even knew what was happening, Adam was down on one knee! Even better, Adam had asked a dear friend to take pictures of the proposal. Shortly thereafter, Sam took out her phone to call her parents, but Adam told her to wait. They walked a few blocks to Vallozzi’s where both of their families were waiting with champagne toasts! Adam was successful in providing Sam with the most perfect proposal!
About the Session
On any given weekend, Sam and Adam would prefer to hang out with friends and drink a few beers. Due to their unique opportunity to have their pictures taken inside of PNC Park, Sam and Adam started with a casual look as they cuddled up in the stands, posed for shots in the dugout, and strolled along the warning track with the Pittsburgh skyline behind them. Their weddding is black tie and they wanted their save-the-date to set the tone for the big day, so Adam changed into a suit and Sam rocked a black and gold gown for the rest of their engagement session. Sam and Adam are both true Pittsburghers so black and gold were two colors that they wanted to incorporate, not just during their engagement pictures, but also on their wedding day.
