Plum, Marsala, & Sage Green Wedding Inspiration

by Burgh Brides November 25, 2015

Before Pantone introduces the 2016 Color of the Year, I wanted to offer up some final marsala wedding inspiration.  I really liked this color when it was introduced about a year ago…but I fall absolutely head over heels in love with it when it’s paired with plum and sage green.  The combo is just oozing with drama and passion.  I love how the darkness of the plum and marsala are brightened ever so slightly by the sage green, but not so much that it takes away any of the palette’s richness.  These colors would be absolutely perfect for a fall or winter wedding, especially one that takes place at a winery or a venue with lots of exposed wood.  Keep the decor natural with tons of greenery and even fresh fruit and vegetables (think blackberries, artichokes, and even plums).  If you want to brighten the look up even more, add in pops of ruby red, blush pink, and metallic gold.  I looooooved our wedding but if I had to do it all over again…

I’ve been in love with Marsala all year, thanks to Pantone. I just love how the plum and sage green compliment it; great inspiration!

Thanks Shalyce! I’ll be sad to see marsala go but I’m excited to see what Pantone picks for 2016!

I love the richness of the plum color and the seeming simplicity of the natural bouquets. Beautiful!

It looks like a sandy brown color…somewhere between gray and chocolate!
