It’s about high time the Internet was scratch ‘n sniff because these Pittsburgh wedding flowers are just too good to not experience with all your senses! When it comes to wedding details, florals are one of our FAVORITES and these features from 2019 make it easy to see why. Whether bright and bold or monochromatic and lush, these real Pittsburgh weddings from the past year included some of the prettiest (and we’re guessing, best smelling!) arrangements we’ve had the privilege of sharing. Take another look while trying not to smell your screen!
School Themed Wedding at the ACE Hotel
These flowers from The Farmer’s Daughter get an A+! Not only were we totally wowed by the (accidentally) heart-shaped bouquet but the creativity behind the centerpieces make them some we won’t soon forget. To coordinate with the school theme, items like vintage trophies were mixed in with greenery runners and whimsical low arrangements. Overall, the look was colorful, eclectic, and completely inspirational!

Soft & Neutral Wedding at The Pennsylvanian
For as much as we love color, we’re also big fans of neutral palettes inspired by Mother Nature. Working with the couple’s shades of white, gray, and greenery, The Blue Daisy Floral Designs whipped up some dreamy creations that still make our hearts skip a few beats. Striking elevated arrangements atop gold stands, fresh peonies, ferns, eucalyptus, AND an oversized bridal bouquet…need we say more?

Contemporary Purple & Silver Wedding at the Fairmont
In typical Mocha Rose fashion, this incredibly talented Pittsburgh wedding florist created completely wow-worthy arrangements for this luxurious city wedding. Roses, lisianthus, sweet pea, and other blooms in a variety of purple shades met white hydrangeas and sparkly linens for a look that was high end and just plain gorgeous! We’ll take allllll the glamour, please!

Vintage Fall Wedding at Bramblewood
When your family owns a farm and acres upon acres of fresh floral fields, you take advantage of that! Emma grew up at Bramblewood and nothing but some homegrown flowers and several varieties of pumpkins would do for her wedding day. The fall look included an array of colors, seasonal favorites, and made-with-love details. It really doesn’t get much more farm-to-table than this!

Romantic Forest Wedding at the Event Center at Waterworks
When the groom is from South Africa and the bride absolutely adores king protea – which just so happens to be THE national flower of South Africa – king protea they shall have! Blossoms by Jillian used this massive beauty as a focal point in the bouquets, while incorporating tons of greenery, fresh moss, and subtle pops of blue into the reception florals. The romantic look matched the magical forest vibe the couple was hoping to create, and it has been on our minds ever since!

Sparkly Mixed Metallics Wedding at the Omni William Penn Hotel
Who says you need to pick just one metallic hue? We say go for all of them! To match this over-the-top sparkly soiree, Hens and Chicks whipped up magic in floral form. White orchids and lilies combined beautifully with blue hydrangeas, birch branches, mercury glass, and tons of candlelight. If you can pick your jaw up off the floor long enough to concentrate, we’d definitely encourage a look back at this early 2019 feature!

Hot Pink & Blue Rooftop Wedding at Hotel Monaco
The Farmer’s Daughter strikes again with this unexpected color palette and eclectic style. With an ombre carnation flower wall, terrarium cocktail table centerpieces, and a bridal bouquet with cascading greenery that’ll give you all sorts of nostalgia, the floral arrangements at this wedding were strikingly beautiful. They were the perfect mix of edgy and pretty, which is always a winning combination in our books. Just wait until you see the peonies and dahlias in Alex’s bouquet…they’re as big as your face!

Amalfi Coast Inspired Wedding at The Pennsylvanian
The shores of Italy came to life in these creations from the ever-talented, always-keeps-us-on-our-toes greenSinner. To celebrate their heritage, Anna and Christopher designed a day inspired by the Amalfi Coast. That meant lots of fresh lemons, grapes, artichokes, and olive branches…which is exactly what Jimmy and his team incorporated into the florals of this celebration. From the all-olive leaf bouquets carried by the bridesmaids to the plethora of produce creatively sneaked into the table centerpieces, these wedding flowers won’t soon be forgotten!

Soft & Chic Wedding at Hotel Monaco
If the show-stopping canopy of florals above the head table isn’t enough to make your eyes pop out of your head, we’re sure the rest of these flowers from Mocha Rose will. Coordinating with the sophisticated style of the day, these floral visionaries chose some of the pretty blooms – anemones, amaranthus, roses, dusty miller, hydrangeas, astilbe, and dahlias, to name just a few. In varying shades of peach, white, sage, and blush, these arrangements were soft and feminine, yet timeless as all get out. We simply can’t imagine anything prettier!

Poppy Red Eden Hall Wedding
Our final pick for the best wedding flowers of 2019 involves the biggest example of community over competition this local industry has ever witnessed. Bride Caitlin is a lead designer at Mocha Rose…but she also happens to be the cousin of Julie James Design. How is a bride to choose a wedding florist? In Caitlin’s case, she didn’t have to! Mocha Rose and Julie James Design tag-teamed on these whimsical designs in amazing collaborative fashion. While Mocha Rose handled the table centerpieces, dance floor canopy, and the oh-so-EPIC floral installation around a tree, Julie James Design whipped up the ceremony florals, bridal party bouquets, and escort card table display. This one is sure to live on in our hearts for a loooooong time!
